Why you do not feel yourself – 7 signs of disconnection from your own body.

Disconnection from the body is one of the most common experiences in today’s world. Living in constant rush, stress, pressure and an excess of stimuli cause that we begin to function mainly in the head. We analyze, we plan, we react automatically, but more and more rarely we feel what is really happening inside us.

At the beginning this disconnection is subtle. With time, however, it begins to influence the quality of life, decisions and well-being. You lose contact with yourself, although from the outside everything may look “normal.”

One of the first signals is difficulty in recognizing your own emotions. You feel that something is not right, but you are not able to name it. Instead of feeling, you begin to analyze. Another sign is chronic tension in the body. Stiff shoulders, a clenched jaw, shallow breathing – these are signals that the nervous system is in constant activation.

Fatigue often also appears, which does not disappear even after rest. This is not ordinary physical fatigue, but the effect of long-term tension and lack of contact with your own needs. You may also have difficulty making decisions, because you do not feel what is good for you.

Another signal is a lack of feeling pleasure. Things that once gave joy stop bringing it. Instead of presence, a “survival” mode appears. You act, but you do not feel. You do, but you are not really in it.

Ignoring signals from the body may also appear. Hunger, fatigue, the need for rest are pushed aside, because “one has to act.” With time, the body stops sending clear signals, and you lose even greater contact with it.

The last, often unnoticed sign, is the feeling of being “next to yourself.” As if you were physically present, but mentally and emotionally somewhere else. This is one of the strongest signals of disconnection from your own body and yourself.

Returning to the body is not a luxury. It is a foundation, if you want to regain calm, energy and a sense of direction. It is in the body that your emotions, needs and intuition are stored. Without contact with it, it is difficult to speak about real personal development.

Stop for a moment and check if you recognize any of these signals in yourself. This is not a reason to judge yourself, but an invitation to return. Even small steps, such as conscious breathing or a moment of mindfulness, can begin to rebuild this contact.

In my e-book “Trilogy of Power – Integration of body, mind and spirit” I show how to return to the body and rebuild the connection with yourself. I share practices that help regulate the nervous system, recognize emotions and regain inner coherence. These are tools that you can introduce immediately, to stop living only in the head and start truly feeling.

💛 This is the third e-book from the series “Journey to Yourself” – a cycle that step by step leads you to regain your power and authenticity. The third stage of this journey focuses on the integration of body, mind and spirit, so that you can return to yourself on a deeper level.
