In each of us there are two forces that do not always go in the same direction. The mind seeks safety, predictability and control. It wants to know what will happen, it wants to have a plan and a sense of stability. The soul, on the other hand, seeks experience, growth and freedom. It leads towards what is new, unknown and often outside the comfort zone.
This inner conflict is completely natural, but when you are not aware of it, it can lead to chaos, tension and a feeling of being lost. On the one hand you feel an impulse to change, on the other hand fear appears and a need to stay in what is known.
When the mind takes control, life becomes predictable and organized, but often also limited. You make decisions that are “safe”, but not necessarily aligned with you. You may have a sense of stability, and at the same time feel a lack of meaning, stagnation or inner emptiness.
In turn, when the soul begins to lead, more spontaneity, courage and life appear. You begin to choose what you truly feel, even if you do not have a guarantee of the outcome. It is exactly then that growth appears, but also uncertainty, which is not always easy to face.
The problem is not that one of these parts is good and the other is bad. The mind is not your enemy, and the soul is not detached from reality. True harmony appears when you learn cooperation between them.
The mind can give structure, a plan and a direction of action, but it is the soul that shows which direction is worth going. When you act only from the level of the mind, you lose contact with yourself. When you act only from the level of impulse, you can lose stability. Balance consists in listening to both and allowing them to complement each other.
Pause for a moment and see which of these energies dominates in your life. Do you more often choose safety at the cost of yourself? Or do you escape into change, avoiding stability? What would your life look like if you started to combine one with the other?
Also pay attention to your body. It is the body that very quickly shows whether a decision is aligned with you. The mind may say “this is reasonable”, but if the body reacts with tension, it is a sign that something is not fully coherent. The soul communicates precisely through sensations, not through analysis.
The more often you return to yourself and listen to what you feel, the easier it will be for you to find balance. Then decisions stop being a struggle and begin to be a natural choice.
In my e-book “Trilogy of Power – Integration of body, mind and spirit” I show how to build this balance in practice. I share tools that help to move out of excessive control of the mind and at the same time not lose stability. It is a process that allows you to combine structure with freedom and regain a sense of inner harmony.
💛 This is the third e-book from the series “Journey to Yourself” – a cycle that step by step leads you to regain your power and authenticity. The third stage of this journey focuses on the integration of body, mind and spirit, so that you can live in alignment with yourself, instead of being torn between control and freedom.
